The Event

Walking With The Wounded supports those who served...

The Cumbrian Challenge is our annual flagship fundraising event for individuals, organisations and companies who want to show their support and experience a memorable team-building weekend in the Lake District alongside our beneficiaries.

We target those who have fallen the furthest, men and women struggling with mental health issues, unemployment, homelessness or caught in police custody. By providing early intervention programmes and speeding up access to therapy we are changing the lives of veterans and, crucially, their families.

9 years of team building

The UK government is progressively lifting restrictions in England under their roadmap and large external events can resume without any limits on attendance or social distancing requirements. Numerous external events have now been held in a controlled manner in both the charity, public and private sectors, with control measures and best practice shared widely. In conjunction with other charities activities, Walking With The Wounded are confident that we can host this event outdoors and we are therefore happy to proceed with the Cumbrian Challenge

To keep everyone safe, we have instituted a series of Covid protocols for the Cumbrian Challenge and will be emailing these to all participants, suppliers and event staff and Volunteers. We take your safety extremely seriously and are ensuring that this year's challenge can still be held and enjoyed, whilst ensuring that everyone goes home safely to their loved ones.

If you'd like to know more about how we are keeping you safe at this year's event, please contact our Events Manager

We rely on volunteers to help deliver our events and they make a truly invaluable contribution to our work. Volunteers for the Cumbrian Challenge will help us with event set-up and management and making the experience memorable for all of our participants.
