Breaking in the boots and body

Hey all,

Yesterday, though I was feeling well, I decided to get some fresh air with a fellow ex forces colleague. Walk and feet went well, but the rest was suffering.

Looking forward to the 14th May.

The Big £500

Thank you all for supporting and believing in me. I have up'd the anty to £1000 as a stretch goal.

Time to go balls deep.

New Boots

Is really odd to be posting this but I realised last weekend that my old military boots have seen better days, so off I went to Cotswold Outdoors who after I explained to them gave me a health discount for such a good cause. So 20 miles to break them in.

I'm supporting our wounded. Are you with me?

As Ex Royal Signal. I've joined a team of Ex veterans and a current serving reservist from Cisco to take on the Cumbrian Challenge - to support those brothers and sisters that have served. So we're taking on a big walking route around the Lake District alongside teams of veterans who are getting their lives back on track thanks to Walking With The Wounded.

My ask is quite simple. Please dig deep, and support those who have fort for each other and our country. They need us to now help them.

I have had personal experience of my closet friend and mucker who is living with PSTD derived from numerous tours of Afghanistan. I am incredibly proud of him and charities have directly supported him during his journey.

We're the lucky ones with jobs, families, homes. Most people leave the military without any issue, but for a small minority it isn't so easy.

Walking With The Wounded support the veterans who are struggling with their mental health, who are hard to reach, socially isolated, homeless, in police custody... men and women with little to look forward to but who want to get back into society and employment – which is at the heart of what WWTW does.

Please help me and my team hit our £2k target. Every £988 we raise could fund a course of therapy, giving a veteran the tools to support their mental health needs now and in the future. Starting within 4 days of referral - imagine that.

Thank you so much in advance for your support.
